Bonnie Barczykowski
Chief Executive Officer

When Bonnie Barczykowski joined GSUSA as chief executive officer in 2023, she was already familiar to many across the organization, having spent more than ten years as CEO of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri. During that time, she built a compelling strategic vision that successfully expanded access for girls across the region, transformed program experiences, engaged communities, and led a $50 million comprehensive fundraising campaign.

She has been a champion for girls and women throughout her career in both the private and non-profit sectors, including a decade leading one of the largest chains of fitness centers for women in the world. She received both her bachelor’s degree and MBA from Lindenwood University.

Bonnie is excited to be leading an organization to which she is so deeply devoted, and she is committed to ensuring that every girl has an opportunity to join Girl Scouts, make their voices heard, and develop the skills they need to lead—today and into the future.


Jocelyn Johnson
Chief Marketing Officer

Jocelyn Johnson joined Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) in 2021 as chief marketing officer (CMO). In this role, she oversees GSUSA’s internal and external marketing and communications efforts and is responsible for developing and executing the strategy for the Marketing and Communications department, with the goal to provide the best-possible story to define the Girl Scout brand and mission. As CMO, Jocelyn plays a crucial role in telling a clear narrative to internal and external stakeholders and growing membership, revenue, and engagement.

Prior to joining GSUSA, Jocelyn worked in multiple roles with increasing responsibilities at General Electric (GE), where she eventually led marketing and communications efforts for GE Information Services, a global ecommerce industry pioneer. Her focus on data-centric marketing strategies led to branding, improving communications, managing customer relationships, warehousing data, and building sales programs that grew business-to-business, business-to-consumer, and business-to-business-to-consumer revenue from $50 million to $20 billion. She also led global and regional brand-building, operational, and Six Sigma efforts across four GE businesses, including Information Services, Industrial Systems, Appliances, and Healthcare. Most recently, she was tapped to design, build, and implement a Value Proposition and Insights team and business process at GE Healthcare.

Jocelyn is recognized as a creative and authentic communications professional with innovative and transformative strategies that deliver meaningful business results.

A proud Girl Scout alum and Lifetime Member, Jocelyn grew up in Maryland, where she was a member of Girl Scout Troop 1411. She later attended Howard University and completed her bachelor’s degree in microcomputer systems at Potomac College. She holds an MBA from Jack Welch Management Institute, having earned recognition as a Welch Scholar.


Wendy Lou
Chief Revenue Officer

Wendy Lou joined Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) in May of 2019 as deputy chief revenue officer, overseeing the organization’s merchandising, ecommerce, operations, and sales. Since then, she has led a major update of Girl Scout uniforms and other official apparel and merchandise. She also leads the Girl Scout Cookie Program.

Prior to joining GSUSA, Wendy spent 13 years at Macy’s in various leadership positions across strategy, merchandising/planning, and ecommerce. She led the transformation of Macy’s pricing and promotional strategies and developed a roadmap for the company’s long-term value proposition. In 2014, Wendy helmed the restructuring of its merchandising, planning, and digital teams, which firmly established Macy’s as an omnichannel retailer. In her years with the company, she also led merchandise strategy and financial planning for one of its largest categories, women’s apparel.

Wendy headed multiple business units across confections/gourmet food and home products for Macy’s as well. As vice president of digital merchandising and ecommerce for the jewelry and watches division, she led a team of digital merchants and the development of digital marketing strategies. Additionally, she directed the planning division for petites sportswear, responsible for assortment, inventory, and financial planning for all 800-plus Macy’s locations. Wendy started her merchandising career as the buyer and planner for the confections and cookware categories, working with brands such as Godiva and Martha Stewart, and she led the development of Macy’s own private-label confections.

Prior to Macy’s, Wendy was an investment banker at Citigroup, specializing in asset-backed securities and bringing to market over 25 lead-managed deals based on receivables for credit card, auto, and other assets.

Wendy holds a BS from NYU Stern School of Business and an MBA from Columbia Business School.


Angela Olden
Chief Financial Officer

Angela R. Olden joined Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) as chief financial officer in September 2013. In her role, she oversees the financial management of the organization, including the Controller, Treasury, and Financial Planning and Analysis teams.

Before joining GSUSA, Angela served as CFO of Federation Employment and Guidance Service, Inc. (FEGS), one of the largest and most diversified not-for-profit health and human services organizations. At FEGS, Angela managed a budget of $280 million―with funding from more than 100 discrete sources―and had financial oversight of 14 for-profit and not-for-profit subsidiary corporations.

Prior to that role, Angela served for nine years as vice president and chief financial officer with the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, which provides funding for a diverse array of education and health and human services organizations. She also served 11 years as a financial executive in both the United States and Europe for FMC Corporation, a $4 billion, publicly traded industrial chemical and equipment manufacturer, where, in her last position, she was responsible for the financial operations of a $200 million division serving the pharmaceutical industry. Within the financial arena, Angela began her career as a staff auditor with Deloitte, Haskins and Sells.

Angela received her MBA in economics and marketing from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, and a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She is also a certified public accountant in New York and Pennsylvania. Angela is a proud Girl Scout alum who once co-led her daughter’s Girl Scout troop.


Brandt Haynes
Chief Operating Officer, Head of Transformation

Brandt Haynes joined GSUSA in 2022 as chief operating officer and head of transformation. Brandt is responsible for leading and aligning all strategic, revenue, marketing, program, and technology activities. He serves as a cross-functional change agent across the Movement as he leads the evolution of the Girl Scout brand, program, and organization to ensure its long-term impact.

Throughout his 20-plus years stewarding the operation and evolution of media and entertainment brands, Brandt has built and led high-performing and high-retention cross-functional teams in strategy, marketing, operations, content, and analytics. As executive vice president at HBO (later WarnerMedia), he helped transform the company’s product and distribution model to meet changing consumer demands—from DVD and Blu-ray to digital download and ultimately, direct-to-consumer streaming. He also helped evolve audio production company Pushkin Industries into a consumer brand with a recurring subscriber base.

Brandt holds an M.B.A. in finance and marketing from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a B.A. in theater studies from Emory University.


Shelley Goode
Chief Development Officer

Shelley Goode joined GSUSA in 2022 as chief development officer. In this role, she draws upon her 30-plus years of experience in fundraising, marketing and communications, and nonprofit leadership to deepen GSUSA’s culture of philanthropy and strengthen the organization’s capacity to empower this generation of Girl Scouts.

Throughout her career, Shelley has served some of the world’s largest and most respected institutions—the nonprofit equivalent of Fortune 500 companies. She has promoted solutions and raised funds for issues from women’s empowerment and STEM initiatives to poverty, affordable housing, and reintegration of veterans into society. She has shaped policy and strategy at the C-suite level and worked to implement diversity- and inclusion-focused solutions, including most recently as chief development officer for the KIPP Foundation, a nonprofit network of 280 college-preparatory public charter schools. She also served as vice president of resource development for Oxfam America.

Shelley has served in leadership roles with Volunteers of America, the Smithsonian Institution, Spelman College, Syracuse University, and Johns Hopkins University, and currently serves on the boards of The College of William & Mary Foundation (Executive Committee), the Morgan Stanley Global Impact Funding Trust (MS GIFT), and The National Children’s Museum.

Shelley holds a BA in arts administration and political science from Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, Virginia, and is a graduate of the Leadership Arlington Signature Program and Leadership Greater Washington.


Sharon Naya
Chief Strategy Officer

Sharon Naya joined GSUSA as chief strategy officer in 2023 with over 20 years of experience leading strategy, business transformation, and operational excellence teams. She brings a strong balance of strategy development and hands-on execution of critical programs and initiatives—as well as a passion for solving problems and leveraging data to drive decisions. In her role, she oversees Movement-wide strategic business planning and executes portfolio-wide programs to deliver upon GSUSA’s goals.

Sharon most recently served as SVP, head of commercial change strategy for TD Bank, where she led multiple large-scale initiatives to transform the commercial bank. During her tenure at TD, she also designed and implemented new operating models to improve customer experience, while also paving the way for enhanced revenue growth.

She has an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a BA from Cornell University. She is a PROSCI-certified change manager, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and an accredited Customer Experience master.


Alexandra Traber McNamara
Chief Corporate Affairs & Communications Officer

Alexandra Traber McNamara joined Girl Scouts of the USA in 2023 as the Chief Corporate Affairs & Communications Officer.  In this role, she is responsible for driving growth and relevance by overseeing and developing the organization’s external and internal communications strategy, media relations, cultural assets and government affairs (Public Policy & Advocacy).  

Alexandra brings deep public and private sector experience from her time at the Estée Lauder Companies, the Brunswick Group, the White House and a variety of campaigns. A seasoned communications and public affairs leader, Alexandra has vast expertise in developing and implementing strategic and integrated global initiatives that advance reputation, drive culture, and increase engagement with a multitude of stakeholders.

Alexandra serves on the board of the Children’s Museum of Manhattan and is a co-chair for Play for PINK Millbrook which supports the vital work of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

She holds a Master of Science from The London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.


Diana Beinart
General Counsel

Diana Beinart joined Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) as general counsel in 2023. In this role, she oversees all legal matters for the organization, including  corporate governance, intellectual property, contracts, insurance and risk management, and litigation oversight, as well as oversight of the Office of the National Board.

Prior to joining GSUSA, Diana served as the general counsel and deputy commissioner at the New York City Department of Finance, where she was responsible for providing legal advice and counsel to the department.

Before her time in New York, Diana worked at the White House as special assistant to the President, where she served as a principal in-house advisor to the Executive Office of the President on a variety of matters. Prior to that, she was a trial attorney in the Tax Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.

Diana began her legal career at Williams & Connolly LLP and Caplin & Drysdale LLP advising clients on a range of issues. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Diana worked as an auditor at Arthur Andersen LLP from 1993 to 1995, where she gained valuable experience in accounting and auditing before transitioning to her interest in the law.

Diana holds a law degree from the Columbia University School of Law and a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland. She is a certified public accountant and holds bar admissions in New York and the District of Columbia. Diana comes from a family of Girl Scouts—her mother was a troop leader, and Diana, her sister, niece, and daughter are all Girl Scouts.


Sydna Kelley
Chief Technology Officer

Sydna Kelley joins us today as our chief technology officer (CTO). In this role, Sydna will develop and execute our long-term technology roadmap and generate solutions to ensure our technology products and infrastructure enable us to drive the impact our Movement deserves.

For 25 years, Sydna has served in senior leadership roles in technical operations, security, and technology, including as chief information officer at Animal Health (a Pfizer company), Ascend Learn, and Alert Logic. She was recognized by Cyber Defense Media Group as one of the Top Women in Cyber Security. She is adept at creating digital transformation and stakeholder value through maximized technology.
